This year of my art was one of minimalism. I love my little brushes and tight details. But, decided to step out of my comfort zone and bring out the Medium brushes...LOL

IF: Welcome

The morning chill was lifting as our heels clicked against the street. The new day was calling, but, mom didn't notice as we rushed to catch the trolley.

IF: Intricate

If I take the time I can find Intricate all around me. (This image was an exit picture on the bottom of my blog, but, after checking my files of images it is the most intricate of all images, so I decided to re-share with you all. I've been away for awhile and haven't had time to participate in IF, hope this month is the beginning of more IFs.)

"Little Sis" ~ IF: Flawed

Although her brother, Roy, teased her about her broken wing, she believed in their magical power and headed outside to show the world.

IF: Pale

She knew her eyes against her pale skin was the cause of whispers. Not what you would call a physical deformity nor a monstrous image. Just a difference from those in the village. Stares of gossip questioning her mother's birth line. She was not like them.

IF: Contained

I resolve to be a frog! Not just an ordinary frog but KING of all that is wet.

Sometimes our clandestine adventures turn on us.

A Little Birdie Told Me - IF: Voices

It is shocking once we realize the truth. From the voices we hear to the voice we can not exclaim, the Truth is shocking in deed. Roy knew he would never be one of the voices that told his little sister about her Christmas fantasies.

Roy Super Brother - IF: Rambunctious

This little Watercolor and Ink drawing is my first outside the norm of 300lb watercolor paper and layers of glazing pigment for a finished gallery painting. But, I couldn't resist letting Roy show his flair as the Rambunctious Super Brother. By the way he loves his little sister.
